As you know, yesterday was "The Day" if we take into consideration the women's final on RG..and we do it, of course. My favourite player, Ana Ivanovic (as you also know this) and a newcomer, improving player from Russia, Dinara Safina played against each other. I was really looking forward to the match and could have watched it until the cows come home. Ana had not so much downs, even more ups. Safina played quite well, but Ana was in good form also mentally so that she concentrated on important points which she managed to win. The final result is: 6:4, 6:3. After winning the match, Ana tried to climb up to her family. She was successful from an umpire's chair. Then she went back on the right way..on the stairs.xD She was given the trophy by Justine Henin. A bit weird situation, but it was absolutely OK.:) First Dinara, and then Ana was interviewed. The pics I've found so far are sooo cute.:) And the ones in front of the Eiffel-tower...!(L) 8)))
As for men, Nadal won the Open with a 6:1, 6:3, 6:0 defeat on Federer. Actually, it was an easy victory in straight sets.
